This Signature Series is a set that was commissioned by a gentleman who wanted a Constitution and 2nd Amendment themed build. This pistol has 13 stars on it, representing the original 13 colonies. It also includes an EXACT replica of the handwriting of Jacob Shallus who penned the original Constitution document (we took great care in achieving this) . The pistol is also emblazoned with a beautiful representation of an eagle holding the American flag. This engraving was originally used on U.S Gold Certificates from the 19th century. The inclusion of this eagle was an homage to the client who had spent a career in finance. Below the eagle is a laurel wreath which traditionally represents triumph and victory.
The pistol also includes a hand-applied stochastic Perlèe (or Perlage) pattern applied to the hammer as well as many internal parts of the pistol, making the inside of the pistol just as stunning and beautiful as the outside. All engraving was done using the old European style hammer and chisel technique. The hand shaped Stag grips represent the same type of grip handles that were so popular with the frontiersman and pioneers who helped explore the United States during its founding. The custom serial number includes the date that the Constitution was ratified as well as the initials and birth date of the owner of this magnificent Signature Series custom build from Accuracy X Inc. The pistol is chambered in the quintessential American pistol caliber of 45 ACP.
The pistol is the main focal point of a collection that also includes a hand made custom pocket folder with matching stag handles, a custom writing pen that was made specifically for this set as well as a test target medallion proofing the pistols accuracy. This set is housed in a spectacular hand crafted Kersarge “pocket” wood case made of old growth American Heritage Burl Maple.
Representing the 1st Amendment, the custom writing instrument incorporates a precise replication of the rifling used in our Accuracy X match barrels. This pen has been precision ground to an exact .451 inch diameter, matching the bore of our .45 caliber barrels. The 1:16 twist lands and grooves that reside on the body of the pen are the exact specification of our button cut rifling found in our phenomenally accurate match barrels. The pen is also made of the same aerospace grade 416R stainless steel used in our barrels. The inner body of the pen has been designed to include a “bullet” tip. In addition to being the ideal texture to give perfect control of the pen when used for writing, this “bullet” tip also shows the trace marks from the rifling, just as would be found on a real bullet when shot from one of our barrels.
The hand signed test target proofing the world class performance that Accuracy X firearms are known for, is encased in a Lucite medallion.
Both matching, tuned magazines have been sequentially engraved.
